“The Rings of Fire horse show was something very special,” Mr Parker said.
“We had a reasonable crowd with plenty of positive comments."
The dog competition had 395 entries and was judged by four women from Victoria.The best-in-show dog was a Grand Basset Griffon Vendéen, called Hikeshoven, owned by S. Marshall.
The runner-up was an Irish setter owned by M. Scott and the best puppy in show was awarded to the Scottish terrier, Short Blak Tank Man, owned by S. Sullivan.
Kennel secretary Camilla Allnutt said the dogs were of a very good standard and variety.
“We had every type of poodle this year, including standard, toy and miniature, which is most unusual,” she said.
“We had a good entries of whippets and labradors."
Winner of the Miss Tiny Tot title was Willow Ryan, 4, from Shepparton and Harrison Ward, 4, from Shepparton won the Master Tiny Tot title.
Entries were up in the craft shed, specifically in knitting and photography.
Livestock entries were at a standard level despite the drought conditions.
