Elders Euroa auctioneer Joe Allen is set to take on competitors from across the country in a bid to win the 2019 National Young Auctioneers Competition.

Held during the Sydney Royal Easter Show on Friday, April 12, Mr Allen will face six other competitors, fresh off his win in the 2018 Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association Victorian Young Auctioneers Competition in September.
This year marks 29 years of the ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition and 31 years of the ALPA NSW Young Auctioneers Competition.
The winner of the national competition will represent Australia in the International Livestock Auctioneers Competition at the Calgary Stampede in Canada.
Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association chief executive officer Andy Madigan said a live-stream of the event would allow families, clients and friends back home the opportunity to see the action as it happens.
In 2018 more than 6000 people tuned in to watch the ALPA NSW and National Young Auctioneers Competitions.
SKB Rodwells auctioneer Joshua McDonald, from Warrnambool, will also compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show after taking out second place in the Victorian competition.
