Mr Cameron said the coronavirus should have a low impact on Australian farmers when compared to other businesses.
“It will be a challenge for everyone, but there isn't much outside contact out on farms,” he said.
“I don't think the coronavirus will affect our business; it depends on China, they still need to eat and the demand for meat will still be there.”
Mr Cameron has been a beef producer since 2015, and was in the dairy industry for 19 years before making the switch.
The next step for Mr Cameron is to water his annual rye-grass crops throughout autumn to feed his cattle over winter.
Mr Cameron is the owner of Inverleigh Simmentals and has 40 stud cows and 60 commercial.
“We sell calves at 10 months old three times a year, and next week a dozen calves will be going to get sold to Robson Donaldson livestock agents in Shepparton for our domestic supermarkets,” he said.
