Shadow Water Minister Tony Burke announced the party would repeal the 1500Gl cap on buybacks and restore the original socio-economic definition for delivering the 450Gl to the system, despite a new neutrality test being agreed to at December's MinCo meeting.

Member for Shepparton Suzanna Sheed said she is disappointed to see the Murray-Darling Basin Plan being used for political point scoring in the lead up to this year’s federal election.
