About 185 clients, community members, suppliers and Elders team members attended the opening event to celebrate the new facility.
In his address on the night, Elders Bendigo branch manager Craig Sharam said the site had been designed with safety and efficiency front of mind, including the movement of people, vehicles and products.
“Safety has been a core principle in the design of this facility,” Mr Sharam said. “We want our people going home safely, so the efficient movement of products, vehicles and people has been carefully considered to ensure we operate with the wellbeing of our staff, clients and contractors front of mind.”
The facility provides expanded product storage capabilities and the flexibility to accommodate a broader range of products and pack sizes. It also includes facilities designed to meet future regulatory requirements for chemicals and hazardous materials.
“This facility positions us to better service our clients well into the future,” Mr Sharam said.
“It gives us first-class product storage capabilities, greater flexibility across our product range and a facility that has been developed with a clear understanding of the conditions, challenges and opportunities facing our clients.”
A 60-person conference room was also built into the facility and will be available as a space for clients, industry groups and the local community to meet, share knowledge and collaborate.
“We’re particularly proud of the new 60-person conference room,” Mr Sharam said. “We see it as more than just a meeting place.
“It’s a resource for our community, industry groups and clients, providing a place for people to gather, share knowledge, collaborate and strengthen the relationships that are so important in regional Australia.”
The new store is located at 20 Brickworks Road, Bendigo.
