The chance for one lucky buyer to receive $400 off the purchase price of a ram is the incentive the North East Merino Breeders Group hopes will bring buyers to its 24th annual ram sale.
For the second year, registered buyers will go into the draw to get the $400 discount on one of the 50 rams up for sale.
The 50 rams will come from seven studs — Bennmann, Kilfeera Park and Kilfeera Park Poll, Koole Vale, Toland Poll Merino, Bindawarra and Hynam Poll.
The wool section will be judged by Alex Lewis, who works on his uncle’s stud at Redesdale, and the meat judge is Graham Sudholz, who formerly worked at CopRice and now runs his own sheep operation at Glenrowan.
The North East Merino Breeders Club’s annual sale will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at the Benalla Showgrounds, with inspections from 10am and the sale starting at 1pm.
