The Andrews, who have sold their Invergordon farm, sold their herd at Shepparton Regional Saleyards on Thursday — the herd consisting of an even mix of Jersey, crossbred, Red and Holstein cows.
The $5000 top price was paid for a blue roan-coloured cow milking 47 litres and 3.34 kg of milk solids.
The cow was sold to J. & M. Shannon Pastoral Company, of Katunga.
The same buyer also selected a classy two-year-old milking heifer for $3100.
Equal second highest price of the sale was $4300 for a pair of Brown Swiss cows.
They were purchased by Sunrise Farms, of Elingamite in western Victoria.
The sale, conducted by Dairy Livestock Services, saw 194 cattle sell for an average price of $2212.
