Together with my husband Steve, we manage a mixed irrigation farm near Deniliquin and run a business offering training in plant and high-risk machinery across the Riverina.
I am a proud mother of two daughters and am actively involved in the agricultural industry, volunteering with various committees including the Ricegrowers Association and NSW Farmers.
If elected, my priorities include:
1. Recruiting a permanent CEO/general manager: Essential for stability and effective leadership.
2. Finalising the Growth Strategy: Setting clear, attainable goals for sustainable growth.
3. Implementing financial sustainability review recommendations: Ensuring financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
4. Addressing the Edward River Village: Completing Stage 1 and revisiting stage 2 plans to create vibrant, thriving communities.
5. Developing asset master plans: Developing plans for those assets and facilities without master plans integrating these with the Growth Strategy to support community needs.
6. Activating the Agribusiness Master Plan: Advocating for support amid water buybacks and structural adjustments.
7. Seizing renewable energy opportunities: Engaging with developers for regional benefits if projects proceed.
8. Enhancing waste management: Building on the three-bin system for sustainable waste options in rural areas.
9. Exploring affordable housing solutions: Developing innovative, community-based strategies.
10. Improving communication: Establishing regular forums for resident interaction and feedback.
