The popular calendar is known for its stunning collection of local images taken by community members.
Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority chief executive Carl Walters said the calendar photo competition was a great way for local people to showcase their photographs of plants, animals and the environment.
“Eighteen members of the public had their photos selected for this year’s calendar and of those, six were first-time contributors,” Mr Walters said.
“The calendar photo competition continues to attract new interest from people who are out and about in nature with their camera, right across the catchment.
“Drone photography is proving popular in the entries and there was a great aerial shot of the mid-Goulburn River selected this year.”
To be eligible, photos must be between 2MB and 10MB in landscape orientation (not portrait) and submitted as a jpeg file attachment, not as a picture inserted into the text of the email.
A description of the image in the email subject line (for example, ‘Australian boobook’) must be included.
Entries submitted on USBs cannot be accepted.
The Broken Boosey Conservation Management Network Advisory Group assists with selecting the best photos for inclusion in the calendar.
This project is co-ordinated by the Goulburn Broken CMA, with support from Moira Shire Council and Greater Shepparton City Council.
Entries close Wednesday, August 13.
