She will be joined by emerging opera singers Olive Cullen, Johnny De Simone and Matthew Duffy, as well as Sydney pianist Ronan Apcar.
Ms Goode, who grew up in Kyabram, said she always appreciated the chance to return home and perform in the area.
“I’m just really excited to be performing these concerts in my home town because if you want to go and see something like that, you have to go to the city. So I’m really passionate about bringing it here,” she said.
The show starts at 7pm and will go for about two hours. Although focused on opera, Ms Goode said there would be a range of songs from musicals as well.
“We are performing lots of different pieces from lots of different operas as well as from musicals. We’re going to be performing pieces from Phantom of the Opera, from The Sound of Music, because we know everyone loves those kind of classic musicals,” she said.
“We also have solo piano pieces from our pianist who will be performing George Gershwin’s work. So that’s a lot of different things but obviously the night will be centred around opera.”
Ms Goode hopes she can be part of introducing something different to young people in the area.
“I think it’s really amazing to be able to give this opportunity for young people to be exposed to opera,” she said.
“There’s a real stigma around opera. I know that I certainly had a lot of preconceived ideas about opera until I actually went and studied it.
“I didn’t really see how it was relevant in the modern world and I thought it was a bit elitist and, because of that, there’s less and less young people interested in it.
“But it’s actually something that’s really beautiful and relatable to many generations. So I would really love for young people to be able to be exposed to opera.”
