Campaspe’s Community Event of the Year was awarded to Shearing for Kids with Cancer.
Led by a dedicated team of volunteers in the Rushworth community, Shearing for Kids with Cancer raises money for clinical research and medical equipment as well as supporting families of children with cancer.
In its fourth year, the event raised more than $50000, doubling its efforts from the year before.
The event has generated wide publicity for the Rushworth area, as well as families with children suffering from the disease.
