Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos spoke of the momentous day as the hub seeks to expedite the recovery process for flood victims.
“The opening of the recovery hub is an important milestone in the flood recovery process. Especially as this week marks the 12 months since the worst flooding event in living memory,” Cr Amos said.
“However, we must acknowledge that there’s still a long way to go for many of our impacted residents of Rochester.”

The mayor highlighted the importance of the recovery hub and said it offered a range of services.
“Not only because it’s a central point where people can access information on the different types of support, but also navigating the challenges of the recovery process,” Cr Amos said.
“A range of government and non-government organisations also work under one roof to aid flood victims, including Anglicare.”
