Reflecting the tougher seasonal conditions in northern Victoria, bidding was slow to move at the World Wide Sires Evolution Sale.
The night has traditionally seen some extraordinary sales figures, but this year the highest lot was an in-calf Camilla cow, which sold at $16000 to Henley Farming, New Zealand.
The same buyers also snapped up the second top lot, a Betty cow, for $9000.
The third highest price was Eclipse Solomon 7 Princess 2, which went for $7800, while an Aleece heifer sold for $7500.
Two lots were passed in.
About 350 people attended the sale conducted by auctioneer Brian Leslie and 10 staff from Dairy Livestock Services.
