Henry has been running his own flock of 60 Merino ewes for two years and this year he decided to hold back a few selected lambs for charity.
The five went under the hammer at Shepparton Regional Saleyards on Friday, fetching $208 each — only two dollars off the day's highest priced lot.
The winning bidder was Hardwicks Meatworks in Kyneton, a family owned company specialising in restaurant-grade red meat.
Henry, from Upotipotpon, said the lambs were first-cross White Suffolk and Merino.
The Lloyd family has been involved in the annual Wanalta charity shearing day at Bill and Val Barlow's property for years, but this was the first time putting lambs on the line for the Good Friday Appeal.
Henry's father Jake Lloyd said the bulk of Henry's lambs were sold in Bendigo, but the decision was made to pull five back to Shepparton for charity because they wanted to give buyers more choice.
“Some other guys had their sheep for charity at Bendigo so we thought it would be better to sell Henry's over here,” Mr Lloyd said.
“It gives some other buyers a chance to be involved, plus Henry can come and see them sold.”
Henry got to take half-a-day off school in order to see his livestock auctioned and safely handed off.
The lambs were sold by the Lloyds’ agent, Nutrien Ag Solutions.
