A chilly breeze failed to deter onlookers, and many gathered to view the action from 4 pm as excitement and plumes of smoke filled the air.
Waiaa Tractor Pull Committee treasurer Veronica Williams said she was happy with the crowd numbers, despite rising coronavirus precautions limiting non-essential events.
“We're really pleased, we weren't sure what effect the coronavirus would have since the government advised against crowds of more than 500 people,” she said.
Guests sat back, relaxed and enjoyed a number of food options from vendors, who provided crowd favourites including hot chips, ice cream and coffee.
“The event is run entirely by volunteers to bring money into our community,” Ms Williams said.
“The Lions Club man the gate, CFA does the parking and the Moira Safety and Emergency Response Team is here, so we give them a donation from the proceeds collected through the event.”
