Can Australian farmers really feed 75 million people when we import so much?

By Country News

If, according to Federal Agriculture Minister David Littleproud, Australia grows enough food to feed 75 million people then please have him explain why Australia imported the following in 2019:

● $711 million in grain and cereals
● $561 million in pork products
● $483 million in dairy products
● $474 million in animal feeds

That's over $2 billion worth, just to name a few of them.

Also, as for the Keelty report, which was probably written prior to its commencement, everybody knows governments don't conduct any inquiries without first knowing what the response/answer will be.
