Coach Ash Morris knows Numurkah are a quality side sitting second on the ladder.
“They are quick and fit, so we will need to stop their running game in order to stay in the contest,” he said.
With a finals berth almost out of reach, Morris said it is the perfect opportunity “to give some of our less experienced players key roles in the back end of the year to speed up their development”.
“We have been very competitive against top teams this year.
“We will expect nothing less coming into this week’s clash.”
Heading into round 15 of a 20 round season, the Deni Rams sit in ninth position on the ladder with 20 points.
In eighth, eight points clear, is the Barooga Saints.
Only the top six will play finals.
Mulwala sit firmly at the top with 48 points, with Numurhah second with 40 points.
The Deniliquin Rams will take on Numurkah at Deniliquin’s Hardinge Street oval tomorrow.
The game is set to start at 2pm.
