Children had their faces painted; adults had their beer poured as pundits cheered home driver David Moran, who drove Curley James to victory in race six to claim the $75,000 prize.
And while the crowd may have enjoyed the evening, the night belonged to Shepparton trainer Courtney Laker, who became the youngest trainer in the race’s history to claim the Gold Cup.
News photographer Megan Fisher was there to capture the best moments from Shepparton Racing Complex.
