Some of the region’s best young talents put on a show during the 2022 V/Line Cup, with the competition coming to a close last Thursday.

Goulburn Murray’s division one side produced some scintillating performances across the tournament, recording two dominant wins.

GM walked away with a 24-point win over South East in round one, with Daniel Meek and Rory Duffy the standouts up forward, booting five goals between them.

They backed up their round one performance, accounting for North East Border Bushrangers in their final match-up by four goals.

Mitchell Serra was best-on with three majors, while Zaydan Leocata and Kade Anderson also got on the score sheet.

The division two boys recorded a solid 22-point win over North East Border, with Jaegen Briggs and Matthew Ward spearheading the scoring to kick four goals and three goals respectively.

Despite losing both of their matches, the Goulburn Murray girls had several solid contributors during their two games, with Ellie Armstrong and Holly Egan among the standouts.
