Deniliquin’s Winter Table Tennis Competition has just drawn to a close, with players and interested parties now preparing for the spring competition.
Winter’s winning combination was the team of Cindy Hand-Ross, James Osborne and club founder Judy James.
Runner-ups were Ash Button, Steve Perry and Christine McCurdy.
The leading player for the season was Ash Button.
The spring comp will begin Tuesday, September 24, at 7pm.
Games are played at the Deniliquin Sports Stadium, and new players are always welcome.
Before the season starts, James will again be competing at a top level national tournament.
She departs today for Tasmania, where she will compete in the Australian National Veterans Championships.
This is a week-long event with team and individual events, open to all states of Australia and overseas players.
