The Basin Community Leadership Program will identify, educate and mentor the next generation of water leaders.
From each area, the MDA is recruiting 15 participants who wish to shape the future of their communities by engaging with key stakeholders.
The program boasts benefits including access to resources to improve awareness of basin challenges and opportunities.
Prior to attending the workshops, participants will complete five modules and self-reflections via MDA's Online Academy.
A two-day, face-to-face workshop will build participants’ knowledge and expand networks, with presentations from local, regional and national leaders.
Participants will also take part in monthly virtual workshops with facilitators who will develop their skills through mentoring.
The project is funded by the Federal Government under the Murray-Darling Basin Economic Development Program and is delivered in partnership with the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust.
The Murray Darling Association will visit Wakool from Monday, October 26 to Tuesday, October 27 and Rochester from Thursday, October 29 to Friday October 30.
