The Victorian Department of Transport and Planning has announced that coaches will replace trains between Southern Cross, Seymour and Shepparton on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3.
The maintenance will cover many necessary improvements, including signal adjustments, platform and track works, structural inspections and vegetation clearing.
A temporary coach replacement timetable has been made available on the Public Transport Victoria website.
Commuters are advised to allow an extra 50 minutes for their journey to accommodate the coach service.
The replacement services will offer a mix of express and all-stations stopping patterns, but will not include stops at Essendon Station.
Passengers requiring Essendon Station are advised to use Metro Trains services to and from Broadmeadows to connect with V/Line coaches.
