Webinar to help red meat producers through pandemic

Farmers can tune in to expert advice on how red meat markets are behaving during these current times of uncertainty and what the future may hold for the industry here and abroad.

The 90-minute webinar will provide an in-depth update and discussion around livestock markets in Australia and around the globe, focusing on the unprecedented supply and demand conditions currently facing the industry.

Meat & Livestock Australia's managing director Jason Strong and Robert Hermann, who is the general manager of market analysis company Mercado, will present information and analysis that will assist red meat producers to understand what these challenges and opportunities might mean for them.

Mr Hermann said while there was nothing predictable about the current situation, he was confident the agriculture industry would soldier on with the job.

“The farm won't stop, and you'll need to continue to make decisions to best position your business in the current and future market,” he said.

The webinar is free, and producers can join the session via their phone and/or computer, tablet or smartphone.

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues with the presenters.

The webinar will be held on Friday, April 17 from 2 pm to 3.30 pm.
