Good news: Greg Pegg (left) and Frank Eyre share the auction result with donor Geoff Broughton at the sale.
The gift of a pen of lambs has raised more than $1000 for the Tynan-Eyre Blue Ribbon Foundation, which helps fund life-saving equipment for GV Health’s emergency department.

The lambs came from Euroa fat lamb producer Geoff Broughton, who has used the services of the emergency department following two farm accidents.
“I’m a regular customer,” Mr Broughton joked.
“I fell off the bike when we were shearing and I was rounding up the sheep. The bike tipped over and I got a cut that had to be stitched up.
“We wanted to make a donation from our family to support the Eyre family and the foundation.”
Mr Broughton hopes other farmers will follow suit and donate stock for auction.
The father of Constable Damian Eyre, Frank Eyre, attended the auction at Shepparton Regional Saleyards on Friday, October 1 and was pleased with the result.
The pen of five sucker lambs, sold by Elders, was purchased by Gathercoles for a premium of $222 each.
The Eyre-Tynan Emergency Department at GV Health’s Shepparton hospital is named in memory of Constables Damian Eyre and Steven Tynan, who were murdered in Walshe St, South Yarra, on October 12, 1988.
Constable Eyre, who grew up in Shepparton, joined his father and brother as members of Victoria Police.
Foundation committee member Greg Pegg said money raised from the Goulburn Valley for the Tynan-Eyre foundation was spent at GV Health.
