Bright colourful clothes, crowns and even funky glasses were donned on Thursday, July 30, as Barooga Public School kindergarten students marked 100 days of school.

Kindergarten teacher Rebecca Kennedy said the students should be “really proud” of how hard they've worked so far this year, and the theme, ‘100 days brighter’, was about recognising that.
“The day is about celebrating and acknowledging all the wonderful achievements ― academic, social, and emotional – that they've had since starting school,” she said.
The 17 kindergarten students enjoyed playing 100-themed games, including snakes and ladders, making necklaces with 100 beads, completing 100-piece puzzles and taking part in other themed activities.

“Of course, it wouldn't be a day without party food and some goodie bags to take home and celebrate, too,” Ms Kennedy said.
She said watching the students grow since starting school had been the most rewarding part of the year.
“It’s definitely the best year to teach ... It's such an exciting place to be, and they’ve done nothing but wonderful things since starting school,” Ms Kennedy said.
“We look forward to the rest of the year, kicking goals and achieving lots more wonderful success.”
