The popular annual cake stall will be held outside the shop at 40 Napier St, Deniliquin on Thursday, August 20.
And you can help.
With the volunteer army somewhat depleted this year, the organisers are calling on community members to help out.
“Donations of cakes and slices would be much appreciated,” Deniliquin’s volunteer Cancer Council coordinator Irene Davies said.
“We expect to be quite down on our usual supplies of goodies.
“As usual, the morning tea will be held at My Shop. It commences at 10am and runs through to 1pm.
“There will also be a raffle on the day.
“We will have daffodils and badges for sale, together with the fabulous morning tea that is available.”
The Deniliquin Daffodil Day efforts raises an average of $11,000 each year.
Daffodil Day is a way for Australians to aid in the fight against cancer for all Australians.
Statistics show that in Australia, one in two people will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85 - a scary prospect for Aussies.
If you can support the fundraiser by providing items for the morning tea and cake stall, they can be delivered to My Shop on the morning.
