The water authority recently announced a spill of all senior positions, under the leadership of new managing director Charmaine Quick.
The positions are: General manger of strategy and service planning; general manager of customers and stakeholders; general manager of business and finance; general manager of water delivery services; general manager of people, culture and safety; general manager of storage services; general manager of infrastructure delivery services; and corporate secretary.
The recruiting advertising says G-MW is looking for ‘‘go-getters’’.
‘‘People who can think outside the square and drive innovative solutions and action.
‘‘We need to challenge the norm and make some tough decisions along the way. While doing so, we must also live by our values of excellence, honesty, accountability, courage and care,’’ the recruiting advertising says.
‘‘You will manage large and varied teams of varied expertise and skill sets and have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and help us pave the way for an exciting future.’’
Ms Quick said the new structure would establish a model of seven general managers and a corporate secretary, one less than the current nine-member executive team.
‘‘The new model is designed to achieve our strategic outcomes and deliver reliable water services at an affordable price for our customers, region and our future.
‘‘No increase in funding is envisioned for the new executive structure.’’
The closing dates for the new roles range from Friday, May 24 to Friday, June 7.
Initial advertising suggested the successful applicants would receive a salary, ‘‘above market pay rates’’, but Ms Quick said this was an error which had since been corrected and the salaries would be set by the government and managed by the Office for Public Sector Executive Remuneration.
