Homelessness is a significant issue within the local community, and last week the Salvation Army held two events in Greater Shepparton to promote awareness of the problem.

On Friday, August 7 the ‘Walking Home’ event at Victoria Park Lake welcomed youth services, homelessness services and politicians, as well as local students to participate.
Attendees were treated with a free sausage sizzle.
Two days earlier, a care day was held at the Salvation Army community centre on Orr St.
The Shepparton Salvos’ fourth annual Walking Home event was part of Homelessness Week, which ended on Sunday.
