Crops are currently looking healthy in the Goulburn Valley, south-west Victoria, on the north coast of NSW, south-east South Australia, central South Australia, south-west Western Australia and north-west Tasmania, according to Dairy Australia.
Crops on the Darling Downs and in central-west NSW are struggling and are in need of some decent rainfall in the next couple of weeks.Cereal hay prices have firmed in Bega and central South Australia. Price changes have also been noted in central-west NSW recently. There is a lot of hay being transported around the country of varying quality. Dairy Australia cautions buyers and recommend feed-testing and viewing fodder before purchasing to be sure of quality of the feed.
