Five stud rams and 45 flock rams will be offered, along with 10 weaner ewes, ready for joining at the Millswyn White Suffolk Stud on-farm sale on October 2.
The Katandra stud's owner Helen Morgan said her Millswyn White Suffolks were shown for several years until she decided the best way to improve the stud was through Sheep Genetics' Lambplan.
“EBVs can be chosen to breed the type of lambs that suit the market at the time,” she said.
“Millswyn has been a (Lambplan) member since inception and the improvement in the quality of the sheep is shown now as they are in the top 10 per cent of Lambplan members.”
A highlight of the sale will be the sons of Bundara Downs sires, a stud Ms Morgan purchased ewes from to replenish her sheep numbers after a drop in 2017.
The Millswyn White Suffolk Stud ram sale will be held on Wednesday, October 2 at 625 Tungamah Boundary Rd, Katandra at 1pm. Inspections start at 10am with lunch provided.
