Long-serving Rodney Shire councillor dies

Kevin ‘Gunna’ Ryan, who served on Rodney Shire Council with Mr Crawford for nearly 20 years before the municipality was amalgamated to form the City of Greater Shepparton, said he was a great representative.

“He was such a likeable bloke, and he loved to help the underdog,” Mr Ryan said.

“Andrew was always there to help anybody and his support for people that needed a hand was renowned.”

Mr Crawford served 17 years on Rodney Shire Council and was shire president three times.

“The Tatura, Toolamba and Mooroopna areas are a lot poorer for the loss of Andrew,” Mr Ryan said.
