Greater Shepparton City Council received seven applications from residents with strong links to the showgrounds, and they have all been appointed to the committee.
The successful appointees are: Ross Graham, Lloyd Healey, Justin Pearce, Kanwal Jagroop Singh, Geoff Skidmore, Julie Winch and Kevin Winch.
“We are fortunate to have such passionate community members step forward to help shape the future of the Shepparton Showgrounds,” City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said.
“I would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank the retiring members, Callum Phillips and Sue Trevaskis, for their valued contributions over recent years.”
Council’s representative on the committee, Cr Keiron Eddy, also welcomed the appointments.
“The Shepparton Showgrounds is one of our city’s most important community assets, and it is encouraging to see such a high calibre of local people putting their hands up to be involved,” he said.
“I am looking forward to working alongside the new committee as we continue to improve and activate the site for the benefit of our whole community.”
The new committee’s term will run until June 30, 2027.
