The conference, supported by North East Catchment Management Authority, will provide insights into a successful carbon farming program, including available opportunities, processes required, issues and pitfalls.
Among the speakers will be Professor Richard Eckard, Melbourne University; Julian Carroll, regional chair Southern Australian Livestock Research Council and principal, Stellar Livestock; Jane Carney, Farmers for Climate Action; Sam Henty, Agriculture Victoria; Jim Shovelton, Gecko CLaN board; Alison Kelly, Agriculture Victoria; Dr Cassandra Schefe, AgriSci; and Sue Briggs, CSBP Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory.

Tastes of Rutherglen
The Tastes of Rutherglen festival will be held on Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12 (Labour Day long weekend) to showcase the region’s award-winning wines, produce and cuisine.
Tastes of Rutherglen festival admission tickets are $40 a person, which includes access to all 17 wineries for the two days, a tasting glass to keep and on-site entertainment at each winery.
Not a big drinker? Designated drivers receive free entry as well as tea, coffee and soft drink vouchers.
There is a hop-on/hop-off winery shuttle bus service for $30 a person, a day. Or enjoy return bus journeys for $40 a person a day from locations including Albury, Wodonga, Howlong, Mulwala, Yarrawonga, Bundalong, Wangaratta, Beechworth, Chiltern, Corowa and Wahgunyah.
