The protestors, led by City of Greater Shepparton Mayor, Cr Shane Sali, say the bill will lead to irrigation water buybacks, which they argue, will devastate the local economy.
More than 50 tractors, trucks and equipment made their way to the SPC facility down Wyndham St and onto High St in Shepparton where speakers voiced their opposition to the legislation.
The massive rally brought the CBD to a halt with retailers and shoppers waving and shouting their support.
